Adventure set in Flanders in 1709. A woman disguises herself as a man to join Marlborough's army in search of her press-ganged husband.

The following statement regarding the story appears after the opening credits: 'Two hundred years ago.... Queen Anne was not yet dead - and England was at war with France. While the Commander of the British forces .... John Churchill, Duke of Marlborough .... extracted what plums he could from the Flanders pie, at home the English yokel, far away from battle-fields and cannon-balls, went about his "business as usual"....'
