One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest
R.P. McMurphy, a maverick prisoner, is transferred to a State Mental Hospital. He proceeds to energise the patients to such a degree that "society" (i.e. the staff), have only one solution. They perform a lobotomy that leaves McMurphy catatonic.
