TONI
Toni arrives in southern France to work in a quarry. He marries his landlady even though he loves Josefa who has married Albert. Two years later both marriages have soured. Josefa kills Albert under provocation and Toni confesses to the murder to protect her, but Josefa decides to turn herself in. Toni is shot down after escaping from the gendarmes.
