Synopsis

Ancient Greece. King Acrisius of Argos puts his daughter Danae and her young baby son Perseus in a coffin and then throws them into the sea in an act of rebellion against the father of the Gods Zeus, who is the father of Perseus. The angered Zeus commands Poseidon, the God of the sea, to release a huge monster named Kraken to destroy the city of Argos. He also tells him to make sure that Danae and Perseus are safe. Some years later, Perseus in now a young man and Zeus decides to punish Calibos, son of the Goddess Thetis, because for his crimes. Zeus turns Calibos into a deformed monster, who lives like an outcast in a swamp near the city of Joppa, where he used to live and was going to marry the beautiful Princess Andromeda. In revenge Thetis transports Perseus to Joppa, where he falls in love with Andromeda. Once again Thetis is not happy and tells Queen Cassiopeia that in thirty days Kraken will be set free to destroy Joppa, unless Andromeda is chained to a stone and sacrificed. Perseus sets out on a quest to find the knowledge which will let him defeat Kraken, a journey which takes him to the Stygian witches, the Isle of the Dead, and during which, he encounters with various monsters and he is threaten with dangers.
