Part one - original title - La insurreccion de la burguesia - covers the period between February and June 1973 and analyses the plan put into action to overthrow the Allende government. Part two - original title - El golpe de Estado - covers the subsequent period up to the coup in September 1973 and consists of a dialectic investigation into the contradiction inside the Chilean Left and an analysis of the last imperialist offensive against the Allende government. The third part - El Poder Popular - deals with the creation of 'popular power' to distribute food, occupy and run factories and farms and other organisations.
