Smack and Thistle
When Abel an ex-con black East End boy receives an M.P.'s stolen briefcase, he discovers it contains important documents on a conspiracy to murder East End gangster turned businessman Dirk-Brown. He finds himself pursued by Dirk-Brown, the MP's villainous associates and to complicate the situation further, romantically involved with the heroin addict daughter of the key figure in the conspiracy.
