Cast & Credits

Synopsis

Examines teenage motherhood, looking at the varying attitudes in different societies. In traditional societies as in Ghana, girls marry younger, and young motherhood is welcomed and prepared for, whereas in Europe, they are by-and-large totally unprepared for motherhood, either physically, emotionally, or socially. The programme also looks at contraception campaigns to help combat the problem, and some of the reasons why teenagers may become pregnant, either through ignorance or as a by-product of social and emotional deprivation.
