Lorenzo's Oil
Based on the true story of a couple whose 5-year-old son Lorenzo was diagnosed with ALD, a condition occurring only in boys, where there is slow deterioration of the myelin coating around the nerves. Doctors advise that the condition was fatal but the parents, Augusto and Michaela Odone, take it upon themselves to research the subject from scratch to try and find a cure for Lorenzo.
