Hero
Bernie Laplante is a small-time criminal whose wife and child have left him and who is facing a prison sentence. He stumbles onto a plane crash and saves everyone aboard and the media start a search for the unknown hero. Eventually John Bubber claims the title while Bernie's fortunes continue to decline.
