Dark Side of Genius

Los Angeles art critic Jennifer Cole is fascinated by the works of artist Julian Jons, who has just come out of prison after 7 years for the murder of his girlfriend in a crime of passion. She falls in love with him despite warnings from her friends and acquaintances, but he is still obssessed with his former girlfriend, who he paints in all his work. A rich art collector appoints Jons to paint his girlfriend, who turns out to be identical in looks to Jons dead girlfriend.
