Film details

Cast & Credits

The film, based on true events, tells the story of Archibald Belaney, an Englishman who, at the turn of the century, obsessed with North American Indians, moved to Canada. He eventually became a trapper, but changed his attitudes towards the killing of animals and became one of the first true environmentalists. Grey Owl became very well-known, the extent of his `double' existence only becoming clear following his death in 1938.
