BEAU TRAVAIL
Drama. The story is based on the novella `Billy Budd, Sailor' by Herman Melville, but here transferred to the African desert, and more specifically the gulf of Djibouti. The hardened soldier Galoup's affection for his commanding officer is threatened by the arrival of a young soldier, Sentain. Galoup contrives to get rid of Sentain - but the rest of the recruits discover his plan.
