Drama. A story set against the background of an annual carnival which takes place at Dunkirk. A bored wife becomes involved with a young man from an Arabian background that she meets by chance; he in turn becomes infatuated, to the extent of postponing his move to Marseilles so that he can be near her. Her husband decides to confront his rival with dramatic results.
