Thriller containing several inter-related narrative strands: a mysterious woman escapes from what appears to be an assassination attempt with only a head wound and amnesia. She winds up creeping into an empty apartment. A woman, Betty, arrives in LA from Canada looking for work and goes to stay at her aunt's place - the very same apartment in which the woman with amnesia, now calling herself Rita, is hiding. A successful young Director is pressured by his investors into casting a woman named Camilla Rhodes in his next film.
