Tarnation
Jonathan Caouette's autobiographical story which tells the story of his family and of his memory. Jonathan's mother Renee spent most of her life institutionalised as the result of shock therapy forced on her in her youth. Jonathan himself endured a childhood in care where he was abused by foster parents before being adopted by his grandparents. They also subjected him to brutal treatment because of his erratic behaviour.
