The Artist

Comedy, drama. In Hollywood in the late 1920s, George Valentin is a major star of silent films. As talkies come in, though, his fame wanes and he is soon overtaken in popularity by Peppy Miller, a young actress who has a crush on George. Even as he begins to grow self-destructive, Peppy tries to help George regain self-respect and find some way of continuing in films.
