Ray Harryhausen on King Kong

As part of the Screen Epiphanies strand, Ray Harryhausen remembers his first experience of King Kong – a screening at Mann’s Chinese Theatre on Sunset Boulevard in 1933. Harryhausen describes how going to see a film in the cinema on a Saturday night was a special event at the time, marked by ceremony and circumstance.

Ray Harryhausen was speaking at a screening of King Kong shown courtesy of BFI Screen Epiphanies in partnership with American Express®.
