Reading of The Day Off followed by Q&A

The Day Off is a comedy written by Ray Galton and Alan Simpson for Tony Hancock, who rejected the script at the peak of his fame, in pursuit of a more international story. After a reading of The Day Off with a full cast, Galton and Simpson discuss their 'lost' script and its rediscovery, and talk about working with Hancock on this and other projects. They're joined by actor Tom Goodman-hill, who describes stepping into Hancock's shoes for the reading, having grown up watching his comedy.
