Argo
Drama, based on a true story. In Iran in 1979, the American Embassy is seized by Iranian revolutionaries. Tony Mendez, a CIA agent, devises a risky plan to free six Americans who escaped and are being sheltered by the Canadian ambassador. Posing as the producer of a new sci-fi film, he enters Tehran on the pretext of location scouting, but not before he has created an elaborate backstory by setting up a fake production office in Hollywood with producer Lester Siegel and special effects expert John Chambers.
