Synopsis

Documentary. Archive material and still photographs along with contributions from family members, contemporaries and colleagues are used to explore the life of fashion editor Diana Vreeland (1903-1989). The film explores Vreeland’s early life in Paris, her period as fashion editor of Harper’s Bazaar and later editor-in-chief of Vogue, and her time as consultant to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The film also reconstructs Vreeland’s extensive interviews with George Plimpton.
