Grayson Perry introduces Koyaanisqatsi

“It’s what graphic designers drop acid to.” Artist Grayson Perry talks to Tim Marlow about Koyaanisqatsi (1983), the film he has seen more than any other. Perry discusses the film’s influence on advertising, defends it from the critics who derided it as cod-spiritual, and praises Phillip Glass’s score and Ron Fricke’s cinematography.

Grayson Perry was speaking at a screening of Koyaanisqatsi shown courtesy of BFI Screen Epiphanies in partnership with American Express®.
