La Règle du jeu is the basis of understanding the modern cinema. Singin’ in the Rain is the best musical film of all time. The Searchers is humanism in cinema, one of the greatest films ever. A King in New York is film and political criticism in a masterpiece. Narrative in cinema changed with Vertigo. Hatari! Gives us the adventure of life in a beautiful and big film. Berlanga is one of the great filmmakers in history and The Executioner is his best film. For me, 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most important film in cinema history. Blade Runner started a new method in modern cinema. And 40 years after 2001, Malick went one step further in the same direction with The Tree of Life.
