I choose ten movies that me felt full of emotion and that had an important impact in my life and work. It’s a pity to have to leave out movies and directors like Coppola, Scorsese, Visconti, Rosi, Godard, Truffaut, Tavernier and a lot of young French filmmakers, not to mention Glauber Rocha or Tomas Guttierrez Alea, or Raúl Ruiz and Paul Leduc from Latin America. And left out from Asia: Oshima, Imamura, Im Kwon Taek, Adoor Gopalakrishnan.
